Montserrat Guardia Güell formerly sat on the Movement Health Growth Committee, which is focused on scaling the programme, anticipating challenges related to scalability, and sharing strategic recommendations. Montserrat is co-founder & CEO of Big Onion and former VP & General Manager of the Alastria Consortium. She is an international strategy specialist with experience in the creation of ecosystems and the management of large-scale innovation projects in next-generation information services technology and telecommunications, with a focus on Blockchain and its convergence with AI and IoT. With more than 23 years of experience in IT and operations management in Consulting and Information Systems, Oil & Gas Services, and Banking and Insurance, Montse knows how to build bridges between start-ups and multinationals.
 

She is also a regular contributor to social innovation programmes and a lecturer and a visiting professor at several Spanish Universities (UPC, UPF, UNIR, UGR, University of Seville) and Business Schools (IE, ISDI, ESADE, IESE). In addition, she is President of the Quantum Blockchain Alliance, Member of the Advisory Council of the “Catalan Observatory of Ethics in AI (OEIAC)”, co-founder of the ELLIS Alicante Foundation, a member of the Advisory Council of several organisations, a member of a Women Business Angels Group to support female entrepreneurship, and co-founder of the volunteers Covidwarriors Association.

Montse is a Telecommunications Engineer (UPC) by trade with two Masters - one in project and service management (URL-BES La Salle) and one in business management and IT services (UPF).
